Book Fair
Sequoyah's Scholastic Book Fair is held in the fall and then again in the spring. Students have an opportunity during the school day to select books they would like to read. Their selections are sent home as suggestions to their families for books to purchase at the fair. A special Family Night event is held in the school's courtyard one evening during the Book Fair. Teachers generously donate their personal time to read stories to the children, and simple refreshments are served. Teachers also prepare Wish Lists of books they would like for their classrooms, and parents are optionally given an opportunity to purchase and donate books to the classrooms.
