Spring Carnival May 31st Updated!

 

Order your Carnival wristbands and tickets in advance and $AVE!!

 

Pre-event pricing is available in two ways:

 

  • Return the wristband order form by Thursday, May 28 and pay $5 per wristband (you save $2).
  • Order wristbands and/or tickets online at www.sequoyahcarnival.eventbrite.com by 6:00pm Saturday, May 30. Tickets will be available for pick-up at the Carnival. Refer to your email receipt for details.

 

Save even more by ordering a Family Pack at www.sequoyahcarnival.eventbrite.com. Family Packs include two wristbands and 120 tickets for just $30 (you save $7).

 

Put May 31 on your calendar and plan to spend the afternoon at Sequoyah PTA's 2nd Annual Spring Carnival!

5th Grade Farewell

 

Plans are underway for Monday, June 15, when our 5th graders celebrate the conclusion of their years at Sequoyah. The Sequoyah staff organizes the 5th Grade Farewell ceremony, but we need volunteers to assist with the many details of the ceremony/reception and party. Up-to-date communications will be provided through the email group Sequoyah@yahoogroups.com. If you are not a member of the Sequoyah email group, you may join on the right where you see the button that says Yahoo! Groups Join Now.

Looking for Next Year's Volunteers

 

We are beginning the search for volunteers for the 2009-2010 school year. If you or someone you know (e.g., incoming Kindergarten parents) are interested in being a PTA officer or committee chair, please contact Sue Martin to discuss the open positions!

 

Please also contact Sue if you would like to become more involved in PTA events and fundraisers. We always need help and look forward to meeting more of you!

Field Day Rescheduled New!

 

Field Day is back on!  For K-2, Field Day is scheduled for Wednesday, June 3rd. Grades

3-5 will hold their Field Day on Thursday,

June 4th.

June Sequoyah Signal New!

 

The submissions deadline for the June newsletter has been postponed until June 4th. This last newsletter of the year will be sent home in the June 10th Wednesday folder.

Monthly Purchase Programs

 

If you haven't done so yet, check out our two monthly purchase programs: Market Day and GL Scrips!  Purchases made through these fundraisers support many of the enrichment programs and family events that make Sequoyah the wonderful school it is today.

 

Market Day

 

Market Day is a long-running Sequoyah PTA fundraiser that helps make meal and snack times easier for you!  Each month you have an opportunity to order delicious foods and pick them up right at Sequoyah! Dozens of families from the Sequoyah and Candlewood communities order on a regular basis, and bring home selections ranging from string cheese and Gatorade variety packs to breakfast quesadillas, sweet corn and other vegetables, and yummy and easy meats, seafood, and pre-cooked meals!

GL Scrip

 

The GL Scrip gift card purchase program is a newly-established monthly fundraiser. Purchase gift cards for your favorite stores, restaurants, and other merchants at no extra cost to you. Use them for everyday purchases or as gifts for family, friends, colleagues, teachers, babysitters...or anyone else you choose! You pick up the cards at Sequoyah during Market Day pickup, and Sequoyah PTA receives a percentage of the purchase price for each card.
